About
Hi! I am Del
A girl who wants to see the world…
I’m a semi-avid traveler who enjoys solo international trips as well as trips with my friends. I enjoy taking busy trips as much as I do relaxing vacations on the beach. I am 100% a points/miles hoarder so I love “ballin’ on a budget” by using my points to give myself more luxurious experiences when I can. Q-suites here I come!
Traveling is an important part of who I am as a person and I think it’s something that everyone should have access to. Experiencing other cultures, and foods, and meeting new people gives me a much deeper appreciation for the world as a whole.
I love traveling so much that I decided to pack up my entire life in the United States and travel full-time! I’m in the midst of taking a year-long sabbatical to slowly travel around the world. I’m starting in Mexico with a goal of visiting every single continent (except for Antarctica) by the end of my journey.

Oh, The Places You‘ll Go Have Been…
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How can I afford to travel so often?
I’m rich! Okay, unfortunately, I am not rich or wealthy. The simple answer is that I save money to travel. For the last few years, I’ve been putting aside money, into a separate savings account, just for traveling. Whenever I want to go somewhere I know I’ll be able to because the money is already earmarked.
2. What’s your favorite place to visit?
With the exception of a few places, I’ve loved everywhere I’ve traveled to and will gladly visit again. I’ve definitely visited NYC more times than any other city in the world and I’ve had a different experience each and every time I’ve visited. I would say my five favorites (at this time) are Amsterdam/Rotterdam, Malaysia, Banff, Costa Rica, and Chicago. Those were all places that felt like “home” to me.
3. Are you ever worried about your safety?
Of course! Contrary to what my mother believes I do worry about my safety since I solo travel regularly. However, I grew up in a city and have always lived in large cities so I am constantly on alert in my regular life so I’m extra vigilant when I travel. I don’t put myself in harm’s way.
4. How do you travel on points/miles?
Great question. I’ll have to detail further in a blog series. I have excellent credit and I have many credit cards since I do churn. I get credit cards for the sign-on bonuses then downgrade after a year to avoid annual fees. I’m very strategic in how I use my points…cashback is usually the last resort for me. Right now, I prioritize using my points for luxury experiences not everyday trips. My biggest “win” was my $5K 30th birthday trip to Singapore and Malaysia which only cost me $500 out of pocket.
